Obituary of Terriel “Terry” Wessinger Terriel “Terry” Eugene Wessinger, III, age 63, of Asheboro, formerly of Charlotte died Friday, April 27, 2018 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mr. Wessinger was born September 27, 1954 the son of Terriel Eugene and Betty Lefler Wessinger, Jr Mr. Wessinger was born in of Greenville, Miss but lived in NC his entire life.

Terry always put family first with his many nieces and nephews whom he treated as his own. They lovingly referred to him as “U.T.”. He was a loving person, a perfectionist, artist and had his pilot license.

He played guitar in several garage bands, and they knew him as “Wolf”. Terry was formerly employed as an Engineering Technician. He was preceded in death by his father, Terriel Eugene Wessinger, Jr

He is survived by his mother: Betty Lefler Wessinger of Asheboro, sisters: Julie (Larry) Wessinger Pickett of Chapel Hill, Gigi (Mike) Wessinger Skinner of Asheboro; brother: Bryan (Xiao Mei) Wessinger of Spring, TX; sister: Lori (Jeff) Wessinger Curtis of Waxhaw; nieces and nephews:, Ethan Pickett, Jake (Allison) Walker, Valerie Jane (Bobby) DelVecchio, Abby (Brad) Bell, Grey Curtis, Annabelle (Collin) Stuart, Gena Pickett, Jennifer Wessinger, Holden Curtis, Taylor Wessinger and Nathan Skinner; great nieces and nephews: Jayden, Emily, Silas, Gregory, Megan, Eleanor and Harper; and many extended family and friends. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 6:00 – 6:45 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will be Sunday at 7:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Rev.

David Gira officiating. Burial will be held Monday, April 30, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Newberry Memorial Gardens, 15127 County Road Koon Hwy, Newberry, SC. Memorials may be made to Central United Methodist Church, 300 South Main Street, Asheboro, NC 27203 or Orange United Methodist Church, 1220 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.
