Terry was born in Richardton, North Dakota on August 24, 1962 to Wilfred and Mary (Ronish) Quintus. He was proud to be a farm boy, growing up in Haymarsh, North Dakota and attending school in Glen Ulin, North Dakota. After graduating high school in 1981, Terry attended Dickinson State University on an athletic scholarship.

A knee injury cut his athletic career short, but his presence at DSU allowed him to meet his wife and best friend Kris. Kris and Terry were married in March of 1984 and shortly after that Terry began his lifelong dedication to education. Kris and Terry added three children to their family while moving around Montana and North Dakota as Terry continued to advance his career in education.

Terry most recently served as the Superintendent of the Wibaux Public School. His dedication to education was most visible in his generosity, Terry was always looking to help, whether that meant coaching, teaching additional classes or officiating games. Terry saw Christ in all people and could talk with anyone for as long as they would let him.

His position as a permanent deacon in the Catholic Church, for which he was ordained in 2002, allowed him to extend both his joyful personality and his immense generosity even further. He loved the outdoors, taking great joy in camping with Kris, golfing with family and friends, and taking his dogs for walks. Much of his recent down time was spent sharing his love and generosity with his three granddaughters.

Terry was a loving, committed and supportive husband , father and grandfather who will be greatly missed. Terry is survived by his wife Kris Quintus, his three children; Brennan (Makenzie) of Bismarck, ND, Seth (Audrey) of Honolulu, HI and Mariah Quintus of Kemmerer, Wyoming; three granddaughters; his parents, six brothers and sisters, numerous nieces and nephews, and his dog Max.
