Thelma Grace Griffin Wright October 12, 1935 – March 24, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guestbook Entries| Send Sympathy Card Thelma Grace Griffin Wright, 83, of 400 Knottingham Way, Danville, VA, passed away, Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, Winston Salem, NC. Born October 12, 1935 in Millen, GA, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Carrie Harris Griffin. She was married to Kirby Wright, who survives.

She was the last survivor of her generation. In addition to her husband of the residence, survivors include one daughter, Tammy W. Warren (Craig) of Danville, VA; two grandchildren, Craig Warren, Jr. and Tamela Williamson (Ridge) both of Danville, VA and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers.

The family will receive friends at the residence. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 11 AM from Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Jonathan Goertz, Eulogist. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Garden.

In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Sacred Heart Catholic School. Viewing will be held on the day of service. Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home is assisting the Wright family.
