Born March 12, 1958 in Elizabeth, NJ, he was the son of the late James Hankins and Mary Jane Hankins who survives. In addition to his mother Mary Jane Hankins, survivors include, one son, Jeffrey Lewis Hankins of Philadelphia, PA; two sisters, Sandra Breedlove (William) of Ruffin, NC and Angie Marie Hankins (Richard) of San Francisco, CA; four brothers, James Carlson Hankins and Kevin Lea Hankins (Iraida) both of Elizabeth, NJ, Raymond Hankins (Lisa) of Washington, DC, Anthony Mark Hankins of Los Angeles, CA; one grandson, Yam Hankins; 14 step-siblings and a host pf other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are incomplete at this time and will be announced once completed. The family will receive friends at the residence. Online condolences may be submitted to www.
