Obituary for Theodore Graham-White Eyes Theodore Earl Graham-White Eyes was born on September 26, 1961 in Cook County, Chicago, IL to Ernestine Graham Dowty and Theodore Ray White Eyes. Theodore made his journey to the Spirit World on August 14, 2018 at the Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. He was raised in Chicago, Ill and on the Rosebud Indian Reservation by mother and step father, Earl Dowty, and with the Dowty and Graham/Richards extended families.

He graduated from high school in Daytona, Florida and received bachelor’s in business administration from Sinte Gleska University. He worked for the Rosebud Sioux Tribe for a number of years after which he traveled and settled in Rapid City for 30 years. He worked primarily as a chef and made many long lasting relationships and friendships in the course of his work, travels and personal life.

He had a great sense of humor and loved to joke and tease. After a year of mourning for his dear mother he moved to Tuthill/Vetal and helped his sister care for the family ranch. And then after a brief illness, he joined his mother in heaven.

Theodore is survived by his sister, Desire Karen White Eyes Broken Rope, his nieces, Renee Joyce LaPointe and Joscelyn White Eyes Gibson, his great nephews, Edward Dell, Enoch Robert, and Ethan Elmer Compton and his step-father, Earl Kenneth Dowty. Theodore was preceded in death by his parents, his maternal grandparents Suzanne Josephine Richards-Graham and Ernest “Beanie” Graham and his paternal grandparents, and John and Helena (Brown) White Eyes. Pallbearers will be: Maurice Romos, George Hesse, Darren Two Crow, Leo Bald Eagle, Clarence Dowty, Joe Dowty, Jim Dowty and Robert Dowty.
