Thomas Alfred Lowe, age 69, of Cedar Bluff, Virginia passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019 at his home, following a lengthy illness. Thomas was born on September 27, 1949 in Richlands, Virginia to the late Claude L. Lowe and Hattie Waldron Reedy. He was a member of the New Hope Assembly.

He was a retired coal miner and a member of the United Mine Workers of America. Mr. Lowe was an avid NASCAR fan and loved to fish. He loved the Lord and his brothers and sisters at church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cora Nelson. Those who remain to cherish his memory include His wife, Pam Lowe Daughter, Cynthia Phillips of Gray, Tennessee Step-Children Jimmy Boyd and wife, Becky of Haysi, Virginia Larry Boyd and wife, Beth of Haysi, Virginia Michael Boyd of Haysi, Virginia Scotty Boyd and wife, Donna of Richlands, Virginia Sisters Carolyn Lewis of Cedar Bluff, Virginia Doris Smith of Cedar Bluff, Virginia Connie Herald of Tazewell, Virginia Elizabeth Lowe of Richlands, Virginia Deborah Jones of King, North Carolina Step Grandchildren Jonathan Boyd, Josh Boyd, Tyler Boyd, Casey Boyd, Madison Boyd, and Hannah Boyd Funeral services for Thomas Alfred Lowe will be conducted on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 1 PM at the New Hope Assembly in Claypool Hill, Virginia with the Reverend David Lee Horton officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Boyd, Josh Boyd, Mark Smith, Chad Lowe, Travis Lowe, Eric Alsbrook, and Hannah Boyd. The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 9 PM on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia.
