Thomas Lee Evans 77, of Archbold, OH and a winter resident of Bonita Springs, FL died January 22, 2019 at his residence in Florida. He was born August 25, 1941 in Vandalia, OH a son of the late Ernest H. and Caroline M. (Beeson) Evans. He had been wintering in Bonita Springs for the past 7 years.

Tom graduated from Ohio State University and in 1963 began his career with Dinner Bell Foods. He would spend 25 years with Dinner Bell and then he joined John Morrell Foods in Cincinnati, OH. John Morell eventually acquired Dinner Bell in 1995 and Tom would spend the next 14 years with Smithfield Foods in Smithfield, VA as their Vice President of Research and Development retiring in 2007.

He was a member of the Archbold United Methodist Church. Survivors include his loving wife, Diana J. Evans; two sons, Michael Evans of Ohio and David Evans of Toledo, OH; daughter, Teresa Evans of Englewood, OH; stepson, Timothy Lee Morr and his wife, Beth of Stryker, OH; his brother, Joseph A. Evans of Dayton, OH and two sisters, May Jo Smith and her husband, Douglas and Margaret Smathers of all of Ft. Myers, FL and three grandchildren, Jayme Lee Evans, Krista Evans and Kennedy Morr.

A memorial service to celebrate his life is being planned in Archbold, OH and will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations in his memory be made to Saunder Village 22611 State Route 2, Archbold, Ohio 43502, or to the Archbold United Church 401 Ditto St., Archbold, OH 43502 or to the Care and Share Thrift Store 1201 S.
