Rebecca Joyce Pahl-Lopez, 52, beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019. Formerly of Edgeley, ND, she had been an Estero resident for the last 25 years. She was born on October 27, 1966 in Ashley, ND, the daughter of (the late) Wilbert and Arlene LaVonne (Rall) Pahl.
After graduating from Edgeley High School in 1985, Rebecca attended NDSU for a year then moved to Virginia where she resided and worked for a security firm for several years. She met Claudio in 1987 in Virginia and they married in 1992. After moving to FL, they started a successful business and were blessed with four beautiful children.
Rebecca and Claudio were both avid golfers and enjoyed spending time with many friends on and off the course. Rebecca’s favorite times were spent making memories with her kids and grandchildren by going on family ski trips, traveling to Argentina and Disney World, going on family cruises, fishing, being at the beach, and enjoying family game nights and backyard parties. When she wasn’t surrounded by loved ones, she would crochet, read, and journal.
She always opened up her home to friends, neighbors and family. Rebecca coached her girls in soccer for many years and even coached her grandchildren. She was a very faithful and dedicated member in the church and volunteered weekly for the food pantry and community projects.
Rebecca was a very selfless person, always putting others first. Rebecca touched and impacted so many people and was a testimony to a miracle. Rebecca is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Claudio Lopez; her beloved children, Claudio (Maria) Lopez, LaVonne (Jordan) Grant, Kayleigh (Chandler) Nemitz and Claudia Lopez, all of Ft.
Myers, FL; her sisters and brothers, Larry (the late Beth) Pahl, Kathryn Pahl, Jon (the late Nancy) Pahl, David Pahl, Danny Pahl, Julie Pahl, Lisa (the late Ty) Taylor, JoAnn Taylor, Jody Pahl and Jara Pahl; and five cherished grandchildren, Diana, Lucio, Brianna, Camila and Ava. A celebration of life will be held Friday, January 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Living Waters Church in Estero.
