Ted W. Spencer, Sr. 67, of Ft. Myers, FL died Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Joanne’s House at Hope Hospice. Ted was born March 23, 1951 in Lansing, MI a son of the late Forrest and Martha Spencer.

He had been a resident of southwest Florida since 2001 moving from Holt, Michigan. He was a graduate of Michigan State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree. He was the former owner of the Mercy Ambulance Company in Lansing, Michigan selling the company in 2001 before moving to Florida.

He attended the Summit Church in Ft. Myers, FL. He is survived by his two children, Vanessa L. Rashid and her husband, Andrew P. of Naples, FL and Ted W. Spencer, Jr. and his wife, Amber of Estero, FL; 4 grandchildren, Daniel Rashid, Anna Rashid, Brooke Spencer and Brittan Spencer.

He is also survived by his brother, Jack Spencer and his wife, Mary of Ft. Myers, FL and Bloomington, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jimmy Spencer and Tom Spencer; one sister, Caroline Rill and his grandson, Alexander Rashid.
