Sue Ellen Hardy 91, of Fort Myers, FL went home to join the Lord, Saturday, January 19, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She had been a resident of Fort Myers since 1972 moving from Norfolk, VA. She was born April 4, 1927 in Muskogee, OK a daughter of the late Sidney S. and Hallie Elizabeth (née Eichenberger) Pickens.

She was a graduate of Keys Business College and Rhema Bible College and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Fort Myers. Sue Ellen was also a former travel agent. She is survived by her loving sons and daughters, John S. (Deborah Anne) Walker of Virginia Beach, VA, James D. (Theresa) Walker of Buford, GA, Merrilyn W. Edwards of Fort Myers, FL and Sue Ellen Marshall of Cape Coral, FL; 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by three children, Joseph L. Walker, Jr., Caroline L. Walker and Linda S. Walker and two sisters, Frances Pickens and Elizabeth Pickens. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, January 26th at 4:30 pm at Shikany’s Bonita Funeral Home at 28300 Tamiami Trail So. Bonita Springs, FL.
