Midwinter, age 80, of Lakewood, NJ passed away February 4, 2019 at Ocean Medical Center. He was born in Brooklyn and was a graduate of St. John’s University, Queens, NY. Thomas served in the United States Army and worked for St. Paul Fire & Marine Insurance as a claims manager until his retirement; he enjoyed playing golf and was a former member of the Four Seasons Golf Club.

Surviving Thomas are his wife of 56 years, Geraldine Midwinter; his children, Doreen and husband David Zilli, Kevin Midwinter, Michele Midwinter, and Brian and wife Jennifer Midwinter; his grand-children, Julianna, Alexander, Serena, Kyle, Ryan and Connor; two sisters in laws, Kathleen O’Brien and Marilyn Faber; also surviving him are many nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering for Thomas will be held on Friday February 8, 2019 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Weatherhead Young Funeral Home, 885 Mantoloking Road, Brick, NJ 08723. A funeral home service will be offered on Saturday at 11am.

Family and friends may arrive at the funeral home at 10:30am prior to the service. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Thomas’ memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Pl. Memphis TN, 38105.
