Thomas Rex Stewart “T-Rex”, 74, of Anderson, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on March 8, 2019 at his residence. He was born on December 31, 1944 in Lebanon, Indiana and resided most of his life in Anderson. He worked for Delco-Remy and General Motors from 1966-2006.

During his retirement, he enjoyed working for Walls Furniture, John Deere, and driving a bus for Anderson Community Schools. He was also a loving caregiver to his wife for several years. He was a member of Anderson First Friends and United Wesleyan Church of Anderson.

He was also a member of FFA, UAW and Multiple Sclerosis Society. Thomas is survived by his children, Brad (Rebecca) Stewart of Noblesville, IN, Jennifer (Troy) Hires of Noblesville, IN, Ryan Stewart of Anderson, IN, Shawn Stewart of Anderson, IN, and Stephanie (Kyle) Watson of McKinney, TX; grandsons, Joshua (Emma), Jeremy (Jessica), Nicolas (Samantha), Jaden, Roman, Luca, and Oliver; and great-grandchildren, Blayne and Colton. He is also survived by his sisters, Sylvia (William) Kirkman, Sonja (David) Ashpaugh, and Pam (Neil) Mendenhall and brother, Larry (Diana) Stewart; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Sharon Stewart; son, Todd Stewart; his parents, Martha and Raymond Stewart; mother and father-in-law, Mary and Claude Cullop; and brother, Donald Stewart. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 15, 2019, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at United Wesleyan Church. Services will be Friday, March 15, 2019, 1:00 pm at United Wesleyan Church, with Pastor Clifton Ashlock officiating.

Ennichement will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the United Wesleyan Church, 2233 S. Central Way Anderson, IN 46011 and the Glioblastoma Foundation. www.
