Mary B. Waldrep, 82, of Anderson, passed away on March 7, 2019 at Miller’s Merry Manor Chesterfield, IN. She was born on August 18, 1936 in Scottsburg, Indiana and resided most of her life in Anderson. To say she was a homemaker, would never explain the role of this beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.

Mary helped raise her brothers and sisters, before getting married on June 27th, 1953. Mary and her husband, would go on to raise nine children of their own and together they celebrated 61 years of marriage. Mary loved to spend time with her family.

You could often find her surrounded by those closest to her while in the kitchen. She had a special bond with her grandchildren, and enjoyed those most of all. Whether it was pushing them on a swing, teaching them a secret recipe, or playing a game of cards, she was happiest with them around.

She and her great-granddaughter, Isabell, had a special bond and relationship that both cherished. Mary could often be found yelling at her TV when the Cincinnati Reds or Purdue was playing. She, also, had a love for country and gospel music, and enjoyed the return of her roses every spring.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Millers Merry Manor for their love, their support and for the care over the years. Mary is survived by children, Rick Owens of Hamilton, OH, Beverly Griese of Wabash, IN, Terry (Vanessa) Waldrep of Alexandria, IN, David (Char) Waldrep of Hamilton, OH, Dan Waldrep of Anderson, IN, Shari (Kirk) Mullins of Anderson, IN, Kevin (Sherrie) Waldrep of Anderson, IN, Carol (Jack) Taylor of Anderson, IN, grandchildren, Richie Owens, Michael Owens, Jason Owens, Clarence Griese, Patricia Schnitz, Dodie Ivey, Susan Frank, Derek Waldrep, Brett Waldrep, Michael Parke, Thomas Parke, Anita Waldrep, Adam Waldrep, Katy Waldrep, Jon Mullins, Ashley Waldrep, Christopher Waldrep, Corey Myers, Cody Myers; and 39 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, siblings, Leon, Teresa, Sue, Dianne, James, Archie, and Michael.
