William Douglas Harvey, 90, of Anderson, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2019. He was born on July 13, 1928 in Monroe, Tennessee and resided most of his life in Anderson. Doug attended Ball State University.

He served his country in the Army during Korean War. He retired as a Machine Repair Skilled Trades from Guide Lamp division of General Motors. He was a member of UAW #663, American Legion Post 117.

Doug is survived by his wife, Joanne Harvey; children, Theresa (Kenny Craig) Barber, Richard A. (Kelley) Harvey, Randal T. Harvey, Daniel D. (Zherling) Harvey, Patrick T. (Angela) Harvey, Timothy G. Harvey, James D. Harvey; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; siblings, Gerald (Elka) Harvey, Beatrice (Ray) Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy William and Ida Belle Harvey; son, Christopher S. Harvey, siblings, Johnny D. Harvey, Donald R. Harvey, Kenneth S. Harvey. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 14, 2019, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St. Anderson, IN.

Services will be Thursday, March 14, 2019, 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Young officiating. Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park with military honors. www.
