Timothy Jay Leatherman, 75, of Elk City, Oklahoma was born on April 27, 1943 in Fort Worth, Texas. He is the son of James Lester and Gwendolyn Joy (Brown). He passed away on Friday, October 26, 2018 at Elkwood Assisted Living in Elk City, Oklahoma surrounded by his loving family.

After retiring Tim worked in the banking industry and for Doug Gray’s Auto group. He loved to be in the presence of his family and friends. He was someone who liked to be outdoors golfing, fishing, hunting, and woodworking.

Tim was a member of Prairie View Baptist Church in Elk City, Oklahoma. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Prairie View Baptist Church in Elk City, Oklahoma. Rev.

Charles Henthorn will officiate. Services have been entrusted to the care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma. Cherishing his memory are his wife, Rosemary Leatherman of Elk City, Oklahoma; two daughters, Leah Rene Leatherman, Brandi Lea Pruitt and her husband Steven of Elk City, Oklahoma; three brothers, Jeff Leatherman and his wife, Cheryl of Santa Paula, California, Kenneth Ray Leatherman and his wife, Barbara of Rincon, Georgia, and Jerry Leatherman and his wife, Sandra; one sister, Judy Kay Hutcheson of Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren, Shilo Sellers and her husband, Anthony, Bryce Dodge, Austin Pruitt, and Avry Pruitt all of Elk City, Oklahoma; one great-grandchild Gunner Jay Sellers of Elk City, Oklahoma.
