Obituary for Mr. Tommy Ray Hendrix Tommy Ray Hendrix was born in Fay, OK, to Roy and Adrine Hendrix. He was the middle child of five siblings. At the age of 11, Tommy suffered the loss of his mother, Adrine, which was devastating to the family.

In 1956, Tommy joined the U.S. Army and served his term which led to an Honorable Discharge. In 1972, Tommy joined in holy matrimony with Darlene Crisp, of Hoffman, OK. He was a loving and faithful husband for 24 years.

No children were born to this union. But he had a special place in the hearts of nieces, nephews, and children of his cousins. He was a pleasant, easy-going and hard-working man.

He worked in the construction industry for many years after which he worked in janitorial positions until retirement. He was such a sweetheart – people were drawn to him and he often made humorous remarks that formed a rhyme. He was just fun to be around!

“Tippy Tom”, as he was affectionately called, had a reputation of being a stylish dresser! He sported the colors of the 1970’s and enjoyed stepping out in three-piece suits with the wide collared shirts. His wardrobe also included matching classic “Fedora” hats and silk socks.

SO FRESH AND SO CLEAN! ! Tommy was preceded in death by his wife, parents, elder twin siblings: Odell Hendrix (brother) and Odessa Hendrix (sister).

He leaves to cherish his memory, his spouse of 15 years, Mae Mitchell; three sisters: Roxene Roberts, Rosenthel Fary, and Chelalaquese Chaney; two brothers, Roy Dewey Hendrix, and Paul Hendrix; and a great host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
