Torrie passed away peacefully and with a “Beautiful Smile on her face”, after a strong battle with pulmonary fibrosis of the lungs. Torrie D. Poon was born in Samson, Alabama in 1939 to the Late Lorenza and Ethel Lee Poon. She grew up in Samson Alabama, Graduated High School.

After a five year tour of duty in the US Army, she met the Love of her Life, Curtis Nunnally in Japan. Torrie relocated to California in 1964 and Curtis and Torrie were married, they Celebrated 52 years of Marriage. Torrie was a retired Elementary School Teacher and High School Counselor, and retired from the US Army Reserves as a Captain, Public Speaker, Actor, Author, and Metaphysical Minister.

A Memorial service will be held on July 25, 2018, at eleven o’clock a.m., at OAK PARK HILLS CHAPEL, 3111 North Main Street, in Walnut Creek, CA. You are welcome to attend. Please offer condolences by using the Guestbook or Tribute Wall button on this page.
