Mr. Charles William Davidson, of Moraga, CA, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at the age of 91. “Chuck” touched everyone he met with his gentle, friendly spirit, his positive outlook and giant smile. He was born to parents Scott and Vera Davidson on January 22, 1927 in Chicago, IL.

He attended St. John’s Military Academy in Delafield, WI before serving in the Navy during World War II. After his service, he graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, IL, then worked… Read More » at the BBD&O advertising agency in Chicago, where he met his wife, Josephine Siano Davidson. Chuck and Jo married in 1958, and they moved from Chicago to Southern California in 1960.

Having dabbled in several different hobbies and professions throughout his life, Chuck always maintained a keen interest in music, following the stock market, and building elaborate model train layouts. He also had a lifelong passion for skiing, which he was thrilled to pass on to his children and grandchildren. Chuck moved with his family to Moraga in 1976 and always loved the gentle rolling hills of Lamorinda.

Predeceased by his wife Jo, he is survived by: his sons Brad Davidson (and his wife Cora) of Walnut Creek and Paul Davidson (and his wife Nadia Costa) of Orinda; his daughter, Darcy Davidson Price (and her husband Jeff) of Moraga; and his five grandchildren – Taylor, Christian, Andrew, Katie and Cole. Chuck’s family will be honoring him with a private family celebration.
