Obituary for Mr. Tyler T. Nash Jr. Tyler T. Nash Jr., 94, of Pittsfield, passed away peacefully on Divine Mercy Sunday at Mount Carmel Care Center. Born in Greenfield, December 28, 1923, the son of Tyler T. Nash Sr. and Juliette Nepton Nash, he moved to Pittsfield as a child and attended Pittsfield High School. A veteran of the US Navy, he served during WWII from 1943 until 1946 on the NTS Sampson and the NATC Pensacola.

He was the recipient of the WWII Victory Medal and the American Theatre Medal. He was employed for 30 years at the former O’Connell’s Berkshire Motor Car Co., O’Connell Cadillac-Oldsmobile, and Pittsfield Pipers. He then moved on to become a Vocational Teacher in the trades at the Berkshire County House of Correction from where he retired in 2008.

A lifelong interest in cars, Mechanically, Auto Body, and Restoration, he enjoyed traveling at any given opportunity. He especially loved trips with his wife to Wells, ME, St. Anne’s Shrine in Quebec, and St. Joseph’s Oratory in Montreal. At the age of 84, he and his daughter went on a pilgrimage with Rev.

Peter Gregory to Lourdes, France. He also enjoyed day trips with his grandchildren He and his wife of 70 years, the former Geraldine M. Casey, were married May 30, 1947 in St. Charles Church. She died in 1994.

He leaves a son, Tyler J. Nash (Stacy), five daughters, Geraldine Hermanski (Paul), Maureen J. Piacenti (David), Mary Ann Walto, (Kenneth), Linda Nash-Mullett (Steve), and Theresa Bordeau, his grandchildren, Elizabeth Shepard Rabadom, Jennifer Shepard, Scott and Austin Nash, Tamela and David Piacenti Jr., Daniel and Kevin Walto, Gina, Beverly, Abigail, and Elissa Towle, Olivia Bordeau, and Mitchell Mullett, and his great grandchildren, Nathan and Owen Rabadom, Cameron and Maverick Piacenti, Alexandra and John Walto, and Grayson Towle. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by his sisters, Jeanette Mohr, Arline Gromatski, and Juliette Reynolds. The family would like to thank the staff at Mount Carmel Care Center for their kind and compassionate care given to their Dad.

FUNERAL NOTICE The funeral will be on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at 9:00 A.M. from the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North St., Pittsfield, MA 01201, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Charles Church con-celebrated by Rev. A. Peter Gregory, Pastor Emeritus and Rev. Michael Wood, administrator.

Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, donations in his memory may be made to St. Charles Church in care of the funeral home.
