Obituary for Mr. Willie J. Luckey Mr. Willie J. Luckey, 66, of Pittsfield, born Joe James Luckey passed away on June 27, 2018 at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Emelle, AL on July 7, 1951 the son of Edward Jackson and Molly Luckey, he attended schools in Alabama. Willie was a 20-year Veteran of the United States Air Force.

After his retirement from the Air Force he worked at Crane & Co. in Dalton for 21 years. Willie Luckey is survived by his partner of 22 years Kathy Meyette, his brother Willie John “Luck” Luckey, his sister Rosie Lee Burrell and his 3 sons, Steven, Willie Jr, and Terry. He is also survived by many grandchildren.

Willie was loved by many and a kind and gentle soul that will be missed by all. His spirited energy brought smiles to any room he was in. Funeral Notice: Calling hours for Mr. Willie J. Luckey will be on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North St., Pittsfield, MA.

There will be an additional service later in the week in Emelle, AL. Burial will take place in St. Peter Cemetery in Emelle, AL. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, care of the Dwyer Funeral Home, in his memory.
