Obituary for Mr. Robert E. Cary Mr. Robert E. Cary, 76, of Pittsfield and formerly of Stephentown, NY, passed away on September 12, 2018 at Berkshire Medical Center. He was born in North Adams on March 29, 1942 the son of Donald and Edith (McKane) Cary. He grew up in Williamstown and graduated from Williamstown High School in 1960.

He served in the MA Army National Guard. Bob worked as a Class A Missile Machinist for General Electric in Pittsfield and later General Dynamics, Martin Marietta and retired from Lockheed Martin. He loved spending time in nature, traveling and being with family and friends.

He especially enjoyed canoeing and previously competed in the Josh Billings Triathlon. He was a past member of the Stephentown Volunteer Fire Department and a current member of the Veterans of Stephentown. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, whom he married on August 18, 2001 in Albany, NY.

He leaves 3 daughters, Donna Ast, Cindy Miller and Dawn Broadwell. He also leaves 3 stepchildren, Barry Moore, Katherine Lewis and Justine Dus. He leaves 11 grandchildren, a niece, nephew and several cousins.

He also leaves his mother in law, Mary A. Dodge. He was predeceased by his sister, Sondra (Cary) Geoffrion of California. Funeral Notice: A Celebration of Life for Mr. Robert E. Cary will be September 29, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North St., Pittsfield, MA, with the Rev.

William Fury, officiating. There will be a continued Celebration of Life following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Veterans of Stephentown Area or to the Stephentown Volunteer Fire Dept.
