Obituary for Mr. James P. Chuck McGuigan Mr. James Patrick “Chuck” McGuigan, 53, of Pittsfield passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Berkshire Medical Center. Born on June 1, 1965 the son of James and Anne Harrington McGuigan he was a 1983 graduate of Pittsfield High School. He graduated from the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology in Boston in 1987.

Chuck owned and operated his own lawn care and snow plowing business for over 30 years. He enjoyed singing Karaoke in Berkshire County and New York State. He appreciated nature, hiking on October Mountain was one of his favorite pastimes.

Chuck was fascinated with Bigfoot since he was a small boy. In the last several years he attended several Bigfoot expeditions in Massachusetts and Ohio. He was a proud member of Squatchachusetts and met many Bigfoot Enthusiasts at the gatherings, some of whom became good friends.

Chuck lived a simple life, and he appreciated everything he had. He loved his family and his many friends relishing his time with them. Chuck is survived by his mother, Anne; two daughters, Molly and Jayme McGuigan and Katy Kania whom he loved dearly and was very proud of; four sisters, Colleen Parsons and Erin Weeden of Pittsfield, Noreen Anderson (Brian) of Lenox and Molly Sacco (Michael) of Becket.

Nieces and nephews include Kevin and Colleen Parsons,Caitlin Ferry (Keith),Seamus, Conor, and Meaghan Weeden, Ryan (Natasha), Brandon, Evan and Cary Anderson and Nicole , Stella and Harrison Sacco and Jackie (Craig) Goetze. His was delighted with his grand nieces, Charlotte and Vivienne Goetze and Ziva Anderson. He was happily expecting the arrival of baby boy Ferry in March 2019.

The family would like to thank Donna Matthews for her love and support of Chuck. His mom and sisters have a hole in their hearts. He was a great help and Support to all of us.

Funeral Notice: Funeral services for Mr. James Patrick “Chuck” McGuigan will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 2, 2018 at the Dwyer Funeral Home. There will be an hour of visitation before the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the humane society and Hollins Communications Research Institute ( stuttering therapy), care of the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North St., Pittsfield, MA 01201, in his memory.
