Obituary for Jeffrey R. Hodecker Jeffrey R. Hodecker, 50, of Pittsfield, MA passed away at Berkshire Medical Center on September 28, 2018 after a short illness. Jeff was the father of Chad M. Hodecker and Zachary T. Hodecker, both of Pittsfield, and the grandfather of Chad Hodecker, Jr, also of Pittsfield. He is also survived by his sister Elizabeth Herland and his brothers Edward Peter Hodecker and Gary Herland.

He was the son of the late Miriam and Edward Hodecker. Jeff graduated from the automotive shop program at Taconic High School in 1986 and attended Berkshire Community College. After managing the South Street and Dalton Avenue Jiffy Lubes for many years, he managed a Jiffy Lube in Syracuse.

Jeff missed his family and friends though, so he returned to Pittsfield and began working at County Rainbow Taxi, where he was employed until his death. Jeff was a loving father and generous friend. He was a superb guitarist and played lead guitar, most recently with the bands Crankenstein and Wood.

He was happiest playing music, being with his family and friends, and rooting for the New England Patriots. Funeral Notice: A memorial service will be held at Dwyer Funeral Home in Pittsfield on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 11 am with the Rev. Peter Naranjo officiating.
