Obituary for Shirley H. Yuill Shirley Hines Yuill, of Pittsfield, MA, passed away on November 1, 2018 at the age of 78. Shirley was born at home in Cicero, N Y to Thelma and Edgar Hines and died at home in Pittsfield, MA. She graduated from North Syracuse High School, received her nursing degree from The Rochester General Hospital School of Nursing, and also took classes at Syracuse University.

Shirley worked in the field of nursing at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse, as well as Upstate Medical Center. Shirley was dedicated to her family and is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, John Robertson Yuill, and her children Michael John Yuill (Mary Larson Yuill), Lisa Yuill Ricketts (Kevin Ricketts), Stephen James Yuill as well as two granddaughters, Kelly Ann Ricketts and Jessica Elaine Ricketts. She also leaves behind her two sisters Gwen Hines Eastwood (Les) and Patricia Hines, and six nieces.

Shirley was predeceased by her brothers Donald Hines and Earl Hines. Shirley and her family thank the entire staff for the caring and loving treatment received at the Berkshire Medical Cancer Center as well as Hospice Care in the Berkshires Funeral Notice: Cherishing the memories, she has made with her loved ones Shirley has requested no visiting or calling hours and a private funeral will take place at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Berkshire Medical Center, Cancer Infusion Center, in care of the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North St, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
