Velda Leola McFarlin, 97 formerly of Lakeville died Friday September 28, 2018 at Brethren Care Village. She was born January 12, 1921 in Ashland Co. the daughter of Roy Albert and Helen Ada Lehman Trottman. She had worked at Mansfield Sanitary and was a member of the McZena Hope United Methodist Church.

Velda was an avid bowler and was a foster mother for many years. She is survived by three sons, Ron (Judy) McFarlin of Lakeville, Gary (Linda) McFarlin of Ashland and Dan (Laurie) McFarlin of Ashland, a daughter, Sharon Stitzlein of Polk, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and a brother, Dwayne (Pat) Trottman of Zepherhills, Florida. She was a preceded by her parents, a daughter, a Sharlene McFarlin in 1951, a grandson, Brad Stitzlein in 1976 and two brothers, Harold (Bud) Trottman and Howard Trottman.

Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday October 2, 2018 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with Pastor Don Earlenbaugh officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
