Velma Delois Jones August 2, 1961 – January 2, 2019 Velma Delois Jones was born to the late Anna and Andrew Jones on August 2, 1961 in Roanoke, VA. She was raised in the Salem and Roanoke communities. On January 2, 2019, she went to be with the Lord.

Velma was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Salem. She loved the Lord and her children. Her smile would light up a room.

She attended William Fleming High School. Velma was a Nursing Assistant before becoming disabled. Velma is preceded in death by an aunt, Virginia Greenhow, Daughter, Amanda and sister Angela.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Maurice Jones of Virginia, sister Donna Lowery (Winslow) of Ridgeway, VA, grandchildren, Asia, Hayley, Nicolas of Roanoke, “Special Auntie” Catherine Clark of Belmont, Mass, cousin, Shermaine, Pamela, Joyce, Jeffery, Larry; nieces, Ebony E. Turkesa and Michael, her Shiloh Church family and a host of relatives and friends.
