Venessa Dean Jackson April 26, 1956 – December 26, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Wednesday, December 26, 2018, Venessa was quietly and unexpectedly ushered into eternal rest. Venessa Dean Jackson known as “The Diva” entered into this world at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital in Concord, NC. As a child and adolescent, Venessa was affectionately known as “Moo Moo”.

She grew up in the SIdestown/Shankletown community. She was a former active member of Liberty Primitive Baptist Church. During these years numerous friendships and relationships blossomed into lifelong connections.

Venessa graduated from Northwest Cabarrus High School in 1974 and later earned a degree in Business Administration from Rowan Cabarrus Community College. She was employed in various capacities of management at several companies in the Concord area. In most recent years she worked faithfully as a member of New Beginning Missionary Baptist Church.

She could always be found caring for her grandchildren and spending time with friends. Venessa was proceeded in death by her father, Curlee Scott and brother Curtis Wayne Scott. She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Tamika Greene (Maurice) of the home, two sons, Robert Williams(Imani), of Las Vegas, Nevada and Dominick Jackson of Concord, NC.

Two sisters, Terran Hepburn (Cedric) of Fayetteville, NC, Oclissa Miller of Kannapolis, NC, one brother, Reginald Scott (Betty) of Concord, NC. Six surviving Aunts, Mary Nesbit, Mattie Skeeter, Annie White, Kay Scott (Wilbert), Minnie Scott, and Betty Walker (Gene). She also leaves a host of grandchildren that she refers to as her “grandfriends”.

Venessa also leaves behind nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends and loved ones. Funeral arrangements are scheduled for Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Concord Christian Center located at 265 Manor Avenue in Concord. The visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. -1:00 P.M. followed by the funeral service at 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Rutherford Memorial Park in Concord.

Lamb Funeral Home Inc. will be serving the family.
