He was preceded in death by his parents, Newton Samuel Head and Mary Belle Benton Head; daughter, Janice Eileen Head; sisters, Ruby Head, Marie Fields, Bonnie Desautels, and infant sister, Julia; brothers, Williard Head, Fredrick Head, and Kelly Head. He is survived by his sons, Daniel (Prescila) Head and Dennis (Halina) Head, all of Rockford, IL; grandsons, Daniel Head Jr. of Honolulu, HI, Christopher Head of Rockford, IL, and Jose Mejia of Machesney Park, IL; sister, Rosie Caldwell of Mosheim, TN; sisters-in-law, Arlean Yagerlener of Ft.

Pierce, FL, Shirley Arazon of Kooshie, ID, and Anna Head of Kingsport, TN; brother-in-law, Doug Wolf of Kooshie, ID. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, October 19, 2018, at Mt. Carmel Church Cemetery.
