Veronica Sue (Ely) Yankovich passed away at her home on Wednesday November 14th after bravely battling cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents Vern and Irene (Hutton) Ely of Casco Township, an older sister Shirley Mae Costello, and a younger sister Verene. She is survived by her husband Walter Yankovich, her son Vern Michael David “Gorby” Yankovich, her identical twin sister Verna Lee Hutton-Ely, three nephews, five nieces, eight great nephews, and six great nieces.

She attended Crow School in Casco Township K through 8th grade and graduated from L.C. Mohr High School in South Haven in 1965. She retired from the U.S. Post Office in Grand Junction after 36 years of service. Visitation will be at Filbrandt Family Funeral Home Sunday, Nov.

18th from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorial service will be held at Filbrandt Family Funeral Home Monday, Nov. 19th at 11 a.m. with interment following at Stephenson Cemetery on 66th Street north of 102nd Avenue. In lieu of flowers, Sue requested that donations be made to Michigan Special Olympics, Area 17, 29000 64th Avenue Lawton MI 49065.
