Virginia Arline Dockter (neé Duncan) died unexpectedly at home in Concord, CA on June 8, 2018. Born in San Francisco, CA on May 26, 1944. Beloved wife of Gary Dockter and loving mother of Jennifer and Geoffrey Dockter.

Devoted and much loved sister of Loretta (Sue) Wold, Patricia (Pat) McCally, Sandra (Sandy) Spinale and Michael (Mike) Duncan. Also survived by her two grandchildren Caleb and Hannah O’Donnell, three nephews, a niece, extended family and her cherished yellow lab, Ranger. Preceded in death by her parents, Alice Duncan (neé Wolff) and Thomas Duncan, brother Robert Duncan and beloved yellow lab Strider.

Virginia was a wonderful, family-oriented woman and a friendly, intelligent, kind, generous and humorous person who had travelled extensively throughout the world. She enjoyed training and showing her champion dog Ranger, spending time with her friends and siblings, reading, playing games on her tablet, talking to people, and British television-a legacy of her 5 happy years of living in Weybridge, England. Her warmth, humor and kindness will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She was an active and popular member of the Mt. Diablo Dog Training Club, where a celebration of her life will be held later. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made in her memory to the Humane Society of the United States (www.
