Wanda L. Tipton, 79, of Johnson City, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Washington County and daughter of the late Luther Garland and Agnes Keller Jones. In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Glen Tipton, two brothers, Buck and Del Garland.

Wanda loved to cook and feed everyone she met. She had a big heart and was always willing to help. She retired from Leon-Fernbach after twenty years of service as the head inspector.

Those left to cherish Wanda’s memory include her children: Angela Hawkins (Rick), Sonja Bailey (Dan), Glen Tipton, Jr. (Missy), and Mark Tipton; grandchildren: Ashley Duckworth (Tyler), Whitney Montgomery (Matt), Mandi Tipton Collier (Colby), Morgan Tipton, Kailand Borkowski (Dakota), and Brooke Bailey; great-grandchildren: Joshua Briggs, Malia Lynn McFarland, Avery Rose Montgomery, Asher Ethan Collier, Easton River Duckworth, Major James Tipton, Sutton Claire Collier, Luna Quinn Borkowski, and Bryson Chase Montgomery; her brothers: David Garland, and Kenneth Garland; several nieces and nephews. The family will honor Wanda’s life at a Graveside and Committal service at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Roselawn Memory Gardens with Pastor Matthew Montgomery officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
