Wanda Lovetta McKenzie, age 90, of Attica, formerly of Pontiac, died Thursday, March 21, 2019. She was born September 7, 1928 in Leavitt Township, Michigan, to John “Elmer” and Florence (Fletcher) Robart. Wanda married Kenneth McKenzie on June 20, 1946 in Walkerville, Michigan.

Mrs. McKenzie was a talented artist; painting landscapes, portraits, and many other scenes with acrylic and oil paints…. often sharing her paintings with family and friends. Wanda loved traveling, especially with her husband and family.

They had traveled to every state, starting as a young family with a pop-up camper and moving up to a 5th Wheel after retirement. The McKenzie’s were generous supporters of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and WMPC Radio Station. Wanda especially enjoyed gardening, swimming and just spending time with family.

She loved and adored her grandchildren and they loved and adored her! Mrs. McKenzie is survived by her daughters: Debra Downey of Traverse City and Diana (James) Bailey of Brandon Twp. ; grandchildren: Wendy Downey of Traverse City, Christina (Joseph) Zeoli of Livonia, Brian (Kara) Bailey of Farmington Hills and Shana Bailey of Rochester Hills; great-grandchildren: Jane, James, Kenneth and Jacob; and siblings: Glendora Holt of Tennessee and Clarence (Dolores) Robart of Irons, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Kenneth McKenzie; infant daughter: Lovetta McKenzie; grandson: Aaron Bailey; parents: Elmer and Florence Robart; and brother: Ron Robart. Visitation will be 10-11AM Monday, March 25, 2019, at Calvary Bible Church, 923 South Main St., Lapeer, MI 48446. Wanda’s funeral service will be 11AM Monday, March 25, 2019, at Calvary Bible Church.

Pastor Jeremy Lazzell will officiate the service, a funeral luncheon will be held immediately after the funeral service Monday, at Calvary Bible Church. Burial will be in Perry Mount Park Cemetery, Pontiac. Arrangements have been entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer.
