Wendall Wayne Freed January 8, 1934 – September 16, 2018 Wendall Wayne Freed died peacefully on September 16, 2018 at the age of 84, in Sierra Vista, Arizona from complication of a previous heart attacks and stroke. He was born on an Iowa farm on January 8, 1934 to the late Charles A. Freed and Gladys Cole Freed in Kelley, Iowa. He attended schools in Iowa and completed his education at the University of Iowa.

He served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was discharged in 1955. He was a realtor and worked in construction and real estate development for over 40 years in Iowa and California. He married Rose Gladys Nelan on October 17, 1998 in Laguna Hills, California.

Wendall was proceeded in death by his wife, Rose Gladys Nelan. He is survived by his six children: Linda Marie Priess, Timothy Jay Freed, William Wayne Freed, Ann Freed Bernhardt, Kenneth James Nelan, Roger Joseph Nelan and their families. He is also survived by his sister Brenda Berkery, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 2:00PM at the First Christian Church located at 56284 Buena Vista Drive in Yucca Valley. May God rest his soul in His Glory.
