Wendell Eugene Hawk, 80, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018. He was born September 12, 1937 in Hardtner, KS to the late Wilton Nathaniel and Emilie Molz Hawk and was married to Mary McMahon Hawk for fifty-three years. Wendell served in the US Navy and retired as a senior engineer from Western Electric/Lucent Technologies after more than thirty years of service.

He is survived by his wife Mary McMahon Hawk; sons, Kevin (Shelley) Hawk, Steven (Jasmine) Hawk, Daniel Hawk; granddaughter, Alexis Hawk and sister Nathalia Sheward. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Sydney Cook and Patsy Shatsby. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. and 10:00 -10:45 AM Tuesday at the church prior to the service and at other times at the home.

The Christian burial mass will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday April 24, 2018 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Rev. Paul Lininger, OFM Conv. Pastor.

Interment will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday at Salisbury National Cemetery. Wendell supported Boys Town. Memorial donations may be made to Boys Town, PO Box 6000, Boys Town, NE 68010 or Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, c/o Debt Reduction Fund, PO Box 619, Burlington, NC 27216.
