Obituary of Wendy Writeman Wendy J. Writeman—71 of Jamestown passed away October 26, 2018 at her home. Wendy was born June 25, 1947 in Jamestown NY to Raymond and Amy Hastings Writeman. She is a graduate of Bemus Point Central School and Jamestown Community College.

Wendy worked for Dr. Oliver Phillips DDS as his office manager for 18 years until his retirement. She also worked for the Jamestown stamp company and a collection company. Wendy is survived by her sister Susan Allen of Franklinville NY, her uncle Robert Lake of Jamestown and his sons Steven and Douglas, her nephew Todd R. Allen of Lakewood, her two nieces Carrie Allen of Franklinville and Christy (Rich) Seigel of Cuba, her great nephews Benjamin, Noah, Anderson, and Eastin Seigel all of Cuba, and many cousins.

Wendy is also survived by her unusual cat and constant companion Jessie. Wendy would also want to have mention her friends Dick and Linda Tanner, Roger Carlson, Marilyn Costello, and her many new friends at her apartment complex. Wendy is preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Amy Hastings Writeman.

Memorials may be made to the Fluvanna Fire Department and the Jamestown SPCA. There will be no visiting hours. Inurnment will be Friday 2pm at Sunset Hill Cemetery Lakewood NY.
