Obituary for Willard Dean Spicher Willard Dean Spicher, passed away Friday October 19, 2018, at his residence, with his wife, Elisabeth, of 62 years, by his side. Dean’s funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel, 303 South Main Street, Summerville, SC. , at 1 o’clock.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville. Dean was born April 5, 1934, in Kalona, Iowa, son of Velma Gingerich Spicher and George Spicher.

He graduated from Kalona High School. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and retired after 30 years of service as a Chief Master Sgt. He received the Bronze Star while serving in Vietnam.

Dean and Elisabeth traveled extensively throughout the US and abroad. Dean loved the game of golf. Dean is survived by his wife, son Bruce and daughter in law, Jan, 3 grandsons, Jonathan (Marissa), Daniel (Jenna) and Kyle (Ann) and two great grandchildren, Ellison and Reid; his sister, Joyce Craig of Kalona, Iowa and his brother, Lee Spicher of Florida, numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Ronnie Spicher. Flowers will be accepted or a memorial contribution may be made to Agape Hospice, 2680 Elms Plantation Blvd, Suite 101, N.
