William Dennis Holland, 57, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2018. He was born March 17, 1961 in Wake County to Rose Edwards Holland and the late William Cecil Holland. Dennis honorably served his country in the US Coast Guard.

He retired after 29 years of service with the City of Raleigh Fire Department and served many years with the Swift Creek Fire Department. A memorial service will be held 5:00 pm, Sunday, November 18, 2018 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, 27545. The family would like to invite family and friends back to the home following the service for fellowship.

He is survived by, wife, Denise James Holland; daughter, Marta Dawn Niemeier (Kurt) of Sanford; son, Cody Holland of Knightdale; mother, Rose Holland of Zebulon; sister, Tutti Herron of Rolesville; several wonderful nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Swift Creek Fire Department, 5825 Tryon Rd, Cary NC 27518.
