Carl DeWayne “Scooter” Wattenbarger, 53, passed away Friday, December 21, 2018. He was born September 2, 1965 in Wake County to Freddie Max Wattenbarger and the late Edna Mumford Wattenbarger. Funeral service 10:00 am, Monday, December 31, 2018 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545.

Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens. The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 9:00 to 9:45 am at the funeral home. Surviving: father, Fred; sons: Kevin DeWayne Wattenbarger (Lauren) of Zebulon, Brandon Carl Wattenbarger (Courtney) of Zebulon; mother of his children and the love of his life, Teresa Parker Wattenbarger of Zebulon; grandchildren: Hunter, London, Finley, Brynn, and one on the way, Alibeth; brother, Tommy Thompson of Tarboro.

Scooter was preceded in death by his mother and brother Phil Fleming.
