Sandra Kay Liggins Tippett, 70, passed away Monday, December 3, 2018. She was born January 10, 1948 in Wake County to the late Wilbur Liggins and Frances Tessinear Liggins. Sandra was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and for many years, kept children in her home.

Funeral service 6:00 pm, Thursday, December 6, 2018 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, 27545. The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, Thursday, December 6, 2018 at the funeral home and other times at the home. A private burial will be held at White Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.

Surviving: husband of 52 years, Charles Wesley Tippett; sons: Jeremy Tippett and wife, Mechelle of Selma, Wayne Tippett and wife, Allyson of Clayton; grandchildren: Lawson, Logan, Avery; brother, Randy Liggins of Raleigh; sisters: Hilda Wright of Zebulon, Donna Boykin of Middle, Linda Buckner of New Bern, Brenda Wood of Winterville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Kidney Fund at www.
