Wilbur Kenneth Beasley, Sr., age 88, passed away at Rex Healthcare on December 25, 2018. Wilbur was born September 15, 1930 in Wake County to the late Norman Beasley and Irene Suits Beasley. He honorably served his country in the US Marine Corp and retired as a Captain with 34 years of service with the City of Raleigh Fire Department.

Funeral service 1:00 pm, Friday, December 28, 2018 at Longview Baptist Church, 2308 New Hope Road, Raleigh, 27604 with City of Raleigh Fire Department Honor Guard. Burial will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Ave. , Raleigh, 27612 with Military Honors.

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the church. Surviving: wife of 58 years, Louise Narron Beasley; sons: Wilbur Kenneth Beasley, Jr. of Raleigh, Ollie Keith Beasley (Lynn) of Cary; grandchildren: Alex Thompson, Haley Thompson, Lauren Thompson, James Wilbur Beasley; brothers: Thomas Beasley of Garner, Donald Beasley of Clayton. In addition to his parents, Wilbur was preceded in death by his sisters: Virginia B. Pearce and Annie Rue B. Rogers.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Longview Baptist Church Building Fund.
