William Earl Burchett, Sr. January 30, 1951 – February 22, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences William Earl Burchett, Sr., 68, Butler, passed away Friday, February 22, 2019 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Born January 30, 1951 in Elizabethton to the late Verner Ray & Beulah Ivalee Dugger Burchett. He was a graduate of Hampton High School.

He was employed by the Tele Communications for 38 years. Earl was a member of Stone Mountain Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers: Roy, Herman, Ricky Burchett and Herb Lewis and one sister: Nellamae Grindstaff.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years: Karen Harmon Burchett. His children: Kevin, Jamie, Danny and William Burchett, Jr. Seven Grandchildren including a special granddaughter, Brittany Malantonio. One Brother: Dean Burchett.

Four Sisters: Doralea Trivette & husband Carl, Betty Dugger, Faye Campbell, and Teresa Chambers & husband Terry. Several Nieces & nephews. His Father & Mother-In-law: Wayne & Dolly Harmon.

His Brothers-in-law: Mark Harmon and Tony Harmon & wife Tammie. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2019 in the Elk Mills Baptist Church with the Rev. Howard Estep officiating.

Interment will follow in the Elk Mills Baptist Church Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Darin Isaacs, Eric Trivette, Michael Trivette, Tony Harmon, Isaiah Harmon, Ricky Burchett, Jr. and Odes Roberson. Honorary Pallbearers will be his many friends.

The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to his sisters, his brothers & sisters-in-law, Brandon & Jonathan nurses at Johnson City Medical Center, Deana Shoun, Gary Guy & Todd Trivett and his church family.
