Obituary for William Eugene “Gene” Wisner William Eugene Wisner, 84, of East Leroy, Michigan, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Monday, April 9, 2018. He was born on January 6, 1934, the son of William Clyde Wisner and Obelia Laura (Smith) Katz. Gene married the love of his life, Annette on August 14, 1954 in Battle Creek, MI.

Gene is survived by his Wife of 63 years – Annette Gail (Boaz) Wisner of East Leroy, Michigan; Daughter, Stephanie Ann Abrego; Son, William Clyde Wisner; Two Sisters, Betty June Rollfs, Barbara Rickman; Brother, Gary Katz; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Father, William Clyde Wisner and Mother, Obelia Laura Katz. Gene was the former mayor of Yorba Linda, CA.

He owned his own shoe store with his wife, Annette while living in California. He helped bring the Richard Nixon Library to Yorba Linda, while serving as Mayor. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow and make memories with them over the years.
