Obituary for Ada Juanita Holbrook Ada Juanita McCowan Holbrook, age 79, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Heritage Hall in Clintwood, Virginia after a lingering illness. She was a life long resident of Dickenson County and was of the Pentecostal faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Gladys McCowan; her brother, Clifford McCowan; and her husband, Williard L. Holbrook of 31 years; and a special companion, James Reedy of 24 years.

Survivors Include: Her Brother: Corbett and wife, Janice McCowan of Clintwood, Virginia Sister in law: Vivian McCowan Five nieces and nephews: Randy (Jinger) McCowan of Church Hill, Tennesse; Teresa McCowan of Church Hill, Tennessee; Christy (Craig) Taylor of Bee, Virginia; Eric (Kelly) McCowan of Pensacola, Florida; and Michelle (Jason) Winegar of Kingsport, Tennessee Several great and great great nieces and nephews The family will receive friends Friday, October 19, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at Mullins Funeral Home Chapel with services to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Mullins Funeral Home Chapel with Tommy Austin and David Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Long Cemetery, Dante, Virginia. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Special thanks to all of the nurses and aides who loved and took care of her. Ada always said: “He will never leave us or forsake us. He will go with us all the way, even to the end”.
