Wynne, Jr, age 97, of Point Pleasant, NJ passed away on Wednesday, February 6th at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. He was born and raised in Point Pleasant where he was a graduate of Point Pleasant Beach High School, became a lifetime member of the Elks, and spent his summers with his children and grandchildren at the beach teaching them how to ride the waves. A World War II veteran, he served as a railway brakeman and was awarded several service medals.

After the war he was a freight conductor for the PA Railroad for more than 40 years. He was predeceased by his wife Betty. He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Kent, his son, Alfred W. Wynne, III, his sisters-in-law, May Deibel and Catherine Westlund, two grandchildren and their spouses, Elizabeth (Michael) and Patrick (Vlada), and two great grandchildren, Anna and Mia.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 3-7 PM at Van Hise & Callagan Funeral Home, 812 Arnold Avenue, Point Pleasant Beach. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle.
