Alma Marie Rogers, 82, of Murphysboro, passed away at 12:16 p.m. on Monday, March 4, 2019, in Murphysboro. Marie was born August 17, 1936, in Gorham, IL, a daughter to the late Elmer and Vesta O. (Conder) Wortham. She was united in marriage to William H. Rogers on October 23, 1955, in Gorham; William preceded her in death on May 7, 2005.

Marie was a member of the Elm Street Baptist Church in Murphysboro, IL. In addition to being a homemaker, she was retired from the former Selmer Peerless Towel and Linen service in Carbondale. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2019, at Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro; Pastor Steve Raglin will officiate.

Burial will follow at Murdale Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials are the preferred form of remembrance and may be made to the donor’s choice.

Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Gloria and Kenny Roach of Murphysboro, and Lisa McAulay of Ava, IL; three sons and one daughter-in-law, William Paul Rogers of Murphysboro, Orville Wayne and Teresa Rogers of Murphysboro, and Marvin Harold Rogers of Metropolis, IL; four grand-daughters, Sarah (Julian) Duran, Rachel Lee Satterwhite, Holleigh Rogers, and Clara Rayborn; seven grandsons, Orville Wayne Rogers Jr., William Ardell Rogers, John William II (Salaura) Satterwhite, Andrew Rogers, Hank Bridgeman, Wade Bridgeman, and Joseph Rayborn II; two great-grandsons and six great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Kathy Satterwhite Michel, one grandson, Scott Roach, five sisters and one brother.
