Amy Nicole Gervais, born May 27, 1981, at CHOMP, Monterey, California, died May 5, 2018 peacefully at home after a long year and a half battle against cancer. She lived in Salinas for most of her life except while attending Fresno State University, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. During the last twelve years, Amy worked for Monterey County Office of Education (MCOE), first as an Instructional Aide, then as a Behavior Specialist.

She loved her job and loved going to work. Amy felt very lucky to have such an amazing, supportive team. Amy devotedly supported Girl Scouts of America for 30 years.

She started as a Brownie and bridged to Adult. Amy volunteered as a leader for Troops 3028 and 30515. She also was a member of the local Disney Club and enjoyed spending time at the parks with people she loved.

Amy’s life was devoted to the children she worked with and helped to raise. They filled her heart. Amy was preceded in death by her Granny and Pop Hunsaker, and Noni and Papa Gervais.

She leaves behind her Momma, Karen S. Gervais; Dad, Tedd E. Gervais; brother Alan S. Gervais, his fiancée Michelle ‘Chelle’ Williams, her nieces and nephews: Katelynn M. Gervais, Kevin M. Gervais, Samantha N. Gervais and Derek-Anthony Walter Gervais; as well as her fiancée, Christina Bracewell Lovaas. As well as her many friends who cherished their time with her. A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00p.m. Saturday May 26th, 2018 at the Hall at Madonna Del Sasso, 320 E. Laurel Drive, Salinas, CA.
