Obituary for Andrew Martin Schaefer Andrew Martin “Andy” Schaefer, 61, of Beloit, WI, died Saturday, July 7, 2018 in his home. He was born on June 15, 1957 in Beloit, WI, the son of LaVerne and Janet (Karstetter) Schaefer. Andy was a 1975 graduate of Beloit Memorial High School.

Andy was employed by Beloit Special Machining Company as a milling machine operator for 25 years. He was an avid Wisconsin Badger, Milwaukee Brewers, and Green Bay Packer fan. Survivors include his mother, Janet Schaefer of Beloit, WI; his partner, Debra Erickson of Beloit, WI; son, Derek (Sara) Sandmire; grandchildren, Dakota (Tanner) Lund, Sierra, Kylie, and Jackson Sandmire; great grandchild, Aryndelle; brothers, Kenneth (Wendy) Schaefer and Flint (Tammy) Schaefer; co-workers at Beloit Special Machine, especially Diane Meyers.

He was predeceased by his father; daughter, Linda Schaefer and son, Jason Sandmire. A service of remembrance for Andy will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in Floral Lawn Cemetery, South Beloit, IL.

Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd. , Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.
