Andrew R. Mitchell, 77, of Gettysburg, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at his home with his loving family by his side. Born April 4, 1941 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Michael and Maryann Myszczuk. Andrew worked for Mott’s foods for many years until his retirement in 2004.

He served in the Army National Guard for 6 years. Andrew was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Bonneauville, PA, the Catholic War Veterans Post 1342, Bonneauville, PA, the Gettysburg Eagles, and the Biglerville American Legion. Andrew enjoyed working on his tractors.

Andrew is survived by his children, Andrew D. Mitchell of Littlestown, PA, Andrew R. Mitchell, Jr. of Emmitsburg, MD, Douglas A. Mitchell of Fairfield, PA, and Tina Marie Yingling of Fairfield, PA, 18 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2 PM, Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 10 East Hanover Street, Gettysburg, (Bonneauville), PA, with Father Benny Jose as celebrant. A viewing will be held from 1-2 PM, Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at the church.

Burial will be private and at the convenience the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Andrew’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603. The Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 66 East Hanover Street, Gettysburg (Bonneauville), PA has been entrusted by the family with the funeral arrangements.
