Ann Margaret Ahrens Spence of Westminster passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring. Ann was the wife of the late William Blake Spence III who predeceased her in 2006. Ann was born on July 31, 1947 in Baltimore to the late Anna and Henry Ahrens.

Ann was the devoted mother of Erica Pickard and her husband Robert Pickard III of Westminster, Kathleen Allen and her husband Brian of West Virginia and William Spence IV and his wife Jennifer of Baltimore. … Read More » She also leaves her 4 grandchildren; Brie Pickard, Blake Pickard, Leila Allen and Brian Jacob Allen. Ann retired in 2003 from the Social Security Administration after more than 30 years of service.

She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Gray Manor in Dundalk. Ann loved spending time with her grandchildren, reading and playing backgammon. She always had an incredible personality and if she teased you, you knew she loved you.
