Obituary for Ardis Jane Morrissey (Parker) Ardis Jane Morrissey, 78, of Tyrone died Friday April 27, 2018 at Epworth Manor. She was born November 8, 1939 in Tyrone, a daughter of Ralph and Carrie Mildred (Williams) Parker. She was twice married, first to Herman Jones who preceded her in death in June 1981.

She then married Melvin “Skip” Morrisey who died June 4, 2012. Surviving are three daughters; Kathy Dann and husband Bill, Millie Hamer and husband Todd and Susan Waite and husband Michael all of Tyrone, a son John Jones of Daytona, Florida, seven grandchildren; Kari Bordas, Abi Miller, Jamie Cowher, John David and Krystina Jayne Jones, Ashley Jo Waite and Crystal Jean Loose, seven great-grandchildren and a brother William Parker of Valparaiso, Indiana. She was preceded in death by a brother Gene Parker.

Mrs. Morrissey retired in 2010 from Tyrone Area High School as a crossing guard and the cafeteria following ten years service. She previously worked at Gardners Candy Factory and at Seabrook Blanching for five years. She was past president of the Tyrone Hospital Woman’s Auxiliary, a member of the Tyrone High School Band Parent Boosters, Eastern Star and Rainbow Girls and had been a Girl Scout Brownies leader.

Jane enjoyed knitting, crocheting, game shows and football. She was an avid Tyrone High School football fan. Friends will be received at Feller Memorial Home on Tuesday May 1, 2018 from 6P.M. until the services at 8 P.M., Rev.
